(Gimli, MB) July 22, 2010 – The 10th Annual Gimli Film Festival (GFF) shifts into high gear Friday, July 23rd with a full slate of feature films, documentaries, shorts, panels, workshops and a huge party to cap the night off.
Friday’s highlights include a free beach screening of An Education, theatre presentations of Manitoba produced Black Field, shorts Winnipeg Burlesque and Call To Arms and the screening of the highly anticipated High Life.
Join the cast and crew of High Life at the Manitoba Filmmakers Reception at the Waterfront Centre (Johnson Hall) where DJ Mama Cutsworth will keep the dance floor grooving to old school Motown, R&B, funk and soul.
Free Beach Films – 10 pm each evening – on the 35 foot screen on the shores of Lake Winnipeg. Bring your beach chair or blanket and sit under the stars for a truly unique experience!
Tickets for all films and events are available on line or at the MTS Headquarters Box Office (74 2nd Ave.) An ALL ACCESS Pass is $45.00 allows access to an unlimited number of films.
