Camp Morningstar
Director: Kevin Settee
This short documentary tells the story of a grassroots resistance camp established by members of Hollow Water First Nation in Manitoba. Built in opposition to a proposed silica sand mine, Camp Morningstar becomes a site of resilience, ceremony, and environmental stewardship. The film offers a moving exploration of Indigenous land defense and the power of community activism to protect sacred land and water.
Tasiujarjuaq & Weeneebeg – Bays of Life
Director: Brian Newell
This visually stunning documentary highlights the deep interconnection between people and water across two northern Canadian bays: Tasiujarjuaq (Frobisher Bay) in Nunavut and Weeneebeg (Hudson Bay). This is a National Geographic film.
