GIFF x Westshore - Third Annual World Environmental Day Screening

We are partnering with the Westshore Community Foundation Inc. for the third annual World Environment Day screening on Friday, June 5, 2026, at the Waterfront Centre (94 1st Avenue) in Gimli!

The evening begins with a Climate Conversation Workshop presented in partnership with Climate West and Manitoba Climate Action and Innovation at 5:30 PM in Johnson Hall. The workshop will offer an opportunity for attendees to connect, share perspectives, and discuss the environmental challenges and opportunities shaping our communities today. Refreshments and pizza will be provided.

Following the workshop, guests are invited to attend a screening of the acclaimed documentary Youth Unstoppable at 7:30 PM in Lady of the Lake Theatre.

About the Film: Directed by Slater Jewell-Kemker, Youth Unstoppable follows the journey of young climate activists from around the world as they fight to have their voices heard in global climate negotiations and push for meaningful environmental change. The film is both urgent and hopeful, highlighting the passion and resilience of a generation determined to shape a better future.

Admission to the evening is pay-what-you-can, with proceeds supporting the Westshore Environmental Fund. Tax receipts will be issued for donations over $10.
